LE CHAT NOIR MISSING GEAR

October 5, 2007

Hey guys,

This is not White Stripes related, but a post to help out my good friends Le Chat Noir. They recently went on a tour in Italy. What was supposedly dandy became a nightmare when Eileen and Teddy got their gear and personal belongings (worth 15000GBP) nicked enroute to Rome before their second gig of the tour.

Here’s a list of what’s stolen:

» Dipinto Mach IV Guitar, candy red with white racing stripes, altered pickup in bridge position.
» X2 Digital Wireless system
» Boss Blues Driver, Mohomods sticker, green LED
» MXR Micro Amp
» Diago Powerstation, UK plug
» Electroharmonix POG, dirty, US adapter, CD tray stuck over knobs to prevent dust
» Ebtech by Morley Hum Eliminator
» Ashdown ABM EVO-II 500 bass amp head
» Ibanez Weeping Demon Wah pedal
» Set of Meinl Raker cymbals (14″ hi hats, 18″ crash, 17″ crash, 20″ ride)
» Premier Artist Series Brass 14″ snare
» EV N/D767 Microphone - slightly rusted top

If any of you own(ed) an instrument at any/some point of your life, you’d know losing your gear is not a joke. If you see the forementioned turning up anywhere (pawn shops, eBay, anything), do give a shout out.

Otherwise, the band still has a string of tour dates in November, and they are prepping for new gear within their means for the shows. If you are keen to help out and at the same time own an album of great music, place an order for Le Chat Noir’s latest album DEADWOOD over at their MySpace. Every album sale adds up. You can keep rock ‘n’ roll alive that way.
